Manufactured in 1909, this Model 1894 features a full length magazine, pinned blade front sight, and combination notch and folding ladder rear sight. The left side of the barrel is marked with the two line address and patent information in front of the rear sight and "32-40 W.C.F." at the breech. The top of the frame and barrel at the breech have the Winchester "WP" proof marks. The upper tang is marked with the model and trademark information, and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. There is a saddle ring and stud on the left side. It is mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with a single barrel band and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate. Swivel studs are fitted to the bottom of the barrel band and the bottom of the butt.
Very fine. The carbine retains 85% plus of the original blue finish and 70% of the muted case colors with a brown patina on the exposed surfaces of the frame. There are some scattered scratches and light handling/storage marks throughout. The wood is also very fine with several minor scuffs. The action is excellent, and the markings are crisp overall.
