This is a scarce/rare carbine version of the M16A2 rifle only chambered in 7.62x39mm, the same round used in AK-47 rifles. It is a "Transition" rifle made between 1989 and 1994 with flash hider but no bayonet lug. It has the A2-style fully adjustable rear sight with elevation adjustable front post. Bird cage flash hider with the short round ribbed handguard, barrel marked "C MP 7.62x39 1/12" on the top. With case deflector, forward assist, checkered pistol grip and four position telescoping buttstock. Includes box numbered to the gun. Magazine is absent.

Excellent overall with 99% original finish and only minimal light handling marks. Stock is excellent. Box is very good, with some corner wear. Mechanically excellent.
