The Thompson was used by the law enforcement and FBI agencies in the war on crime during the 1920's and 30's. It is marked in gold fill, "IN HONOR OF THE AMERICAN SHERIFF AND DEPUTY SHERIFF" . It has the original style, adjustable rear sight and compensator. The buttstock has a gold medallion in the shape of a sheriff's badge inset in the right side along with a smaller medallion depicting the "SCALES OF JUSTICE." The pistol grip also has a red, white, and blue medallion depicting a shield surrounded by the words, "AND HIM SAFELY KEEP." The buttstock and pistol grips are of deluxe wood, and the metal parts have gold highlights and a high polish blue finish. Includes a glass top display case, leather claw type sling, magazine and a gold finished police whistle.

Near new in case with some scattered light handling marks. The wood is excellent with minimal light handling marks and attractive grain. Case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
