The included Colt factory letter confirms the serial number, .22 caliber conversion unit slide, finish, skeleton and bobbed hammer, barrel length and the varnished walnut grips with gold plated heritage Rampant Colt medallions. The letter states that the pistol was a sample and display pistol kept by the Colt factory. The left side of the slide is marked "COLT" flanked by "CONVERSION/UNIT" and "AUTOMATIC/CAL. 22 L.R." with Rampant Colt. The right side of the slide is marked with the one line Hartford address. The address appears again on the right side of the frame.

Excellent, retaining approximately 98% original blue finish with some minor scratches (mostly on the slide) and some minor slide wear. The grips are excellent with a few very mild handling marks.
