Description:

Manufactured between 1884 and 1898. With fixed blade front and two leaf (one standing, one folding) rear express sights on the matte solid rib, marked "E.M. REILLY & Co. NEW OXFORD STREET LONDON". The receiver, action lever, hammers, lock plates and tangs have all been engraved in a intricate scrolling classic English style. Operating with a round back action type lock. Mounted on a multipoint checkered splinter forearm with engraved hardware and checkered pistol grip stock with horn grip cap, silver initial oval and engraved heel and toe caps on a checkered naked butt.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 70% of the faded original blue finish on the barrels and 20% of the original casehardened finish on the action and lock plates. The barrels display scattered small dings and surface scratches as well as edge wear near the muzzle. The lock plates show muted case colors primarily in the protected areas with the balance having mostly silvered. All markings and engravings are strong. The wood is very good with pressure indentations throughout as well as some deeper chips and scratches. Mechanically very good.
