Description:

A licensed copy of the Colt Government Model manufactured at Kongsberg for the Norwegian military, the factory and it's output fell into the hands of the Germans in 1940. In 1945, the final year of the occupation, few Model 1914 pistols were manufactured. Fixed sights, with the slide marked with the "Crown/K" and "WaA84" proofmarks as well as "11.25m/m AUT. PISTOL M/1914 -- No. 29954" in one-line on the left side and "1945" on the reverse. The frame is also marked with the serial number just above the trigger, with the recoil spring plug, barrel bushing, hammer and magazine blank, "954" on the barrel and other small components. Smooth trigger, checkered thumb safety, slide catch and hammer and checkered grips. Also included is a full belt rig, all brown leather and brass construction with a holster, gun belt, suspenders, sword hanger, and three-magazine pouch with three extra magazines.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the original phosphate blue finish showing bright wear on the leading edges, scattered dings, and light handling marks. Some components, like the hammer and firing pin stop, may be replaced. The grips are fine with some light dings. The harness rig is very good with mild cracks and scuffs on the leather and some verdigris buildup. Mechanically excellent.
