This is an excellent original example of a pre-WWII German Nazi Luger pistol that was manufactured by Mauser in 1935. This was the second year of secret Luger pistol manufacture during the rearmament by the Nazis. The top of the chamber area has the "G" mark indicating manufacture in 1935 with the front toggle having the wartime code of "S/42" for the Mauser factory. The right side of the barrel extension has the early Mauser proofs of a boxed "W/154" and a "S|92" proofs followed by a early droop wing firing proof eagle which is also stamped on the right rear side of the barrel. The underside of the barrel is marked with the matching serial number and the bore diameter "8,82", with "W|154" on the upper left side. It has the military style serial number placement with the full number on the various major parts with the last two digits on the smaller parts. It has a nickel plated, unmarked magazine with the aluminum base marked "4196/c/eagle/154". Rust blue finish with straw colored small parts and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Excellent with 98% of the original blue finish showing minor edge wear and high spot wear overall. The various small parts retain 85% of their straw original colors overall. The grips are excellent with distinct checkering. Mechanically excellent. An attractive G-Date P.08!
