This Type I production variant was manufactured in approximately 1868. The rib is marked "E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION, N.Y./ELLIOT'S PATENT DEC. 12TH 1865", and "626" is marked on the bottom of the barrel and under the left grip panel. It has the standard blade and groove sights and is fitted with a pair of mother of pearl grips. The pistol comes in a wooden case with "GTC" marked plaque, "J.P. LOWER & SON/DENVER" marked lid interior, blue velvet lined fitted interior with a cartridge block of fourteen rounds of "U" stamped ammunition and a key.

Very fine. The pistol retains 80% plus of the original nickel plating with some light spotting, frosting, and minor scratches. The grips are also very fine with some mild handling wear. Mechanically fine. The markings and action are excellent. The case is fine with a crack across the lid and stains on the interior.
