The Type III or Model No. 4 derringers were manufactured from 1912 to 1935 with a production total of approximately 55,000. The top of the barrel rib is marked "REMINGTON ARMS - - U.M.C. CO. ILION, N.Y." The barrels and left side of the grip frame have the matching serial number. It is fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber grips and has primarily a nickel plated finish with niter blue small parts. This pistol is consecutively numbered to the blued example on this page.

Excellent. The pistol retains 97% plus of the original nickel plating and nearly all of the niter blue finish with some spotting/handling wear on the lower section of the grip frame. The grips are excellent. The markings are crisp, and the action is excellent.
