This pistol was manufactured between 1864 and 1872 and has the maker and patent dates marking on the left side of the frame and the selector/indicator switch on the right. The frame sides have floral scroll engraving with punch dot backgrounds while the barrels and back strap have geometric engraving including a Nimschke star behind the hammer. It is fitted with a pair of smooth grips and has the standard blade and notch sights.
Fine. The barrels retain 40% plus of the original blue finish with some oxidation and brown patina on the balance. The frame retains 50% of the original silver plating with an aged patina on the exposed brass. The grips are very good with attractive varied tones, a minor crack in each panel and handling wear. The engraving patterns and markings remain clear, and the action is fine.
