Introduced in 1905, with a fixed blade front and frame notch rear sights. The barrel is marked with the two-line address and patent marking on the top and the model/caliber information on the left. Standard Colt "VP" proof on the front left trigger guard bow and the Rampant Colt on the left side plate. The butt is marked "W.F. & Co." Fitted with checkered walnut grips with inset silver Colt medallions. Includes a 14"x14" Wells Fargo & Co Express hardboard sign with a black steel ring and hanging grommet.

Fair overall with clear markings and 30% of the original blue finish, with areas of high edge wear, mottled gray/brown patina, surface scratches, light to moderate dings, and some light spotting. The grips are good with small dings and pressure indentations, a small chip on the right toe, and some small short cracks at the heel. Mechanically needs adjustment; the cylinder will cycle, but will not release from the frame when the catch is depressed. The frame is pryed out near the cylinder stop on left side (needs work). The sign is good with some oxidation on the frame, areas of peeling on the face and scattered dents and gouges.
