Pre-Civil War Colt Model 1851 Navy Percussion Revolver with Studded Holster

This 1851 Navy was manufactured in 1856. It has the one-line New York City address and standard Colt markings. All of the serial numbers match including the partial serial numbers on the wedge and cylinder pin. It is fitted with a smooth one-piece walnut grip and comes with a single loop, open toe leather holster with silvered brass studs of varying sizes, and a fabric lined interior.

ConditionFair. The revolver displays primarily an artificially aged patina aside from some remnants of the original silver plating in the protected areas. The markings are generally legible aside from the cylinder scene. The grip is very good aside from a chip at the junction with the frame on the left and some slight scratches. The action is fine. The holster is fair with one stud absent, some crackling and minor flaking of the leather, and some tears and material absent from the interior lining.
