Approximately 17,000 to 20,000 of these tiny pistols were manufactured between 1865 to 1888. The barrel, left side of the grip frame, and smooth grips have the matching serial number. The top of the barrel has the two line address/1861 patent date marking. It has a brass cone front sight and an integral rear sighting notch.

Very fine. The pistol retains 75% plus of the bright original blue finish with streaks of brown patina. The left grip panel has a hairline crack, but the grips are otherwise very fine with some minor handling marks. The action is excellent. The markings are crisp aside from the lightly struck "PATENT".
