Dated 1938 on the chamber, with the "S/42" code on the toggle. "Eagle/63" proofs are present on the barrel and extension, with "droop wing eagle" firing proofs on the barrel, extension and breechblock. Except for the magazine (mixed) and the right grip panel (unnumbered), parts are matching numbered overall. Finish is full blue, with checkered grips, a nickel finished magazine and "N/3524" on the back strap, traditionally associated with Lugers issued by the Kriegsmarine out of their North Sea ordnance depots.

Very good, with 50% of the original blue finish, showing areas of gray patina on the grip straps and high edges, scattered extensive light patches of pitting and light handling marks. The grips are also very good, with some flat spots and dents. Mechanically excellent.
