Developed in the early 1980's for the U.S. Army, the M82 Barrett rifle has been adopted by a number of U.S. military departments and foreign governments. This impressive weapon has the standard Barrett Manufacturing, Inc. markings on the left side of the magazine well. Manufactured without fixed sights and with a full length Picatinny rail, detachable carry handle, and an adjustable folding steel bipod. The rail is mounted with a Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14x50mm scope with an attached Barrett Optics ballistics computer. It has a fluted barrel that is fitted with the signature 2-chamber Barrett-designed muzzle brake. With an AR-15 style checkered polymer pistol grip and solid rubber recoil pad. The configuration of this rifle is believed to be the same as the legendary war hero, "American Sniper" Chris Kyle's Barrett. Includes a Pelican hard case with one extra magazine, cleaning kit with a rubber coated pull through cable, extra battery for the computer, and papers. Also included in the case is a printed picture of an individual purported to be Kyle firing an M82A1 in this configuration.

Excellent overall with 90% of the original matte gray finish, scattered small nicks, dings, general handling marks, and some light edge wear on the barrel flutes. The case is very good with moderate storage and handling marks on the exterior, as well as a few minor dings and scuffed areas. Optics are very clear.
