Manufactured in 1900 and shipped to the Copper Queen Consolidated Mining Co. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber as 44/40 with a 5 1/2 inch barrel with blue finish at the time of shipment to the Copper Queen Mining Co. in Bisbee, Territory of Arizona on November 6, 1900. Some time after it left the Copper Queen Mining Co. the revolver with rechambered to 45 LC, custom engraved and finished in nickel. The revolver features floral scroll designs with a punch dot background on the barrel, cylinder flats, ejector housing, frame and back strap. The recoil shield, loading gate and top of the back strap have a shell design, there is a floral design on the trigger guard, a sun burst on the ejector housing, geometric designs on the upper sides of the trigger guard bow and a scallop border on the trigger guard plate. Directly ahead of the trigger guard is signed "BJ" in a scroll. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address in a scallop bordered panel, the left side is marked "45 COLT", and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates in a panel followed by the Rampant Colt in a round panel. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, nickel finish with niter blue screw heads and fitted with a smooth one piece grip.
