Scarce Will & Finck Gut Hook Knife

Operating out of San Francisco, Will & Finck manufactured a wide variety of knives and gambling equipment, and are associated with the California Gold Rush. While most known for their fancier bowies and push daggers, the firm also supplied simple and functional working knives for the Western settler and laborer, most of which would be used to the point of destruction on the Frontier. 8 1/2 inches overall, with a 4 1/4 inch sharply recurved blade marked "WILL & FINCK/S.F. CAL." on the left and a 1-piece stag horn grip.

ConditionGood. The blade shows mild spotting, rust and sharpening, with the address sharp and clear. The grip is very good, and may be a field-made replacement from the period of use.
