Manufactured in 1949. This example has a hooded ramp front sight and a Lyman receiver sight. Standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech and "SPORTING" marked in front of the trigger guard. The nicely figured pistol grip stock has fine multi-point checkering on the forearm and grip area, ebony forend tip, factory hard rubber grip cap, cheekpiece, quick release sling swivels and checkered steel buttplate. Includes a leather claw type sling.

Extremely fine with 98% plus original blue finish and minimal scattered light handling marks. The wood is very fine with scattered small surface scratches, some light indentations and small areas of slightly thinned varnish. Mechanically excellent.
