Introduced in 1930 and discontinued in 1933, sales of the Model 29 were undermined by the Great Depression, making this a rare item in any state, let alone featuring the hand fitting and master engraving of the Remington Custom Shop. The barrel is fitted with dual white bead sights, full choke, 1 1/2 inch wedges of scroll engraving at the breech, numbered to match the receiver and is date-coded "KY" (May 1930); while barrel codes are typically not a reliable way to date a standard Remington receiver, the matching number makes it easier to state with confidence that this is a first year production shotgun. The receiver shows over 50% coverage of fine scroll and floral engraving, with hand-cut model and serial number markings. Checkered walnut stock, with an extended and contoured forearm, straight wrist, and a White Line vented recoil pad.
