Factory Engraved Remington Model 29 TD Tournament Grade Slide Action Trap Shotgun

Introduced in 1930 and discontinued in 1933, sales of the Model 29 were undermined by the Great Depression, making this a rare item in any state, let alone featuring the hand fitting and master engraving of the Remington Custom Shop. The barrel is fitted with dual white bead sights, full choke, 1 1/2 inch wedges of scroll engraving at the breech, numbered to match the receiver and is date-coded "KY" (May 1930); while barrel codes are typically not a reliable way to date a standard Remington receiver, the matching number makes it easier to state with confidence that this is a first year production shotgun. The receiver shows over 50% coverage of fine scroll and floral engraving, with hand-cut model and serial number markings. Checkered walnut stock, with an extended and contoured forearm, straight wrist, and a White Line vented recoil pad. Dimensions- length of pull: 13 1/2 inches, drop at comb: 1 1/2 inches, drop at heel: 1 3/4 inches, weight: 8 pounds 3 ounces.

ConditionVery fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina and light handling marks overall. Some mild spotting is present on the barrel; The stock is very good, with some mild dents, a few small chips around the wrist and butt, and fine grain. Mechanically functions; when cycled with the trigger depressed, hammer drops on release of trigger.
