This is a late production example of a post WWII Swiss luger that has the "Cross in Sunburst" markings over the chamber area. These were manufactured by DWM specifically for commercial sales in Switzerland and the United States and used earlier pre-WWI commercial frames. As noted, the chamber is marked with the Swiss Cross in a sunburst, and the "DWM" monogram is on the toggle. The left side of the barrel extension and front of the frame are stamped with the full serial number "4293", and the side plate and trigger stamped with "93". The remaining parts all unnumbered. The underside of the barrel is marked with a Swiss cross proof and "BP" monogram, indicating it was a commercial replacement, along with a Swiss "FZ" inside "shield" retailers mark on the right side of the barrel extension. It has the standard first model polished and unmarked lower safety area with the extractor correctly marked "GELADEN". It has the 1906 grip safety with no stock lug. It is fitted with a beautiful set of light colored, checkered walnut grips. It is complete with one Swiss commercial magazine that has the nickel plated magazine body with the unmarked wooden base with the small nickel plated discs on each side. It has a blue finish and straw colored small parts.
