Originally manufactured in 1924, this pistol was shipped to Novak's Incorporated in 2008 for an extensive upgrade package. The original blade and notch sights have been replaced with a 14k gold bead front sight and a Novak Lo-Mount rear sight, the flat thumb safety has been upgraded to an elongated serrated tactical safety and the original butt-mounted magazine catch has been replaced with a 1911-style button catch which has been professionally machined into the frame just below the slide. The grip straps, back of the frame and top of the slide have been finely textured with milled borders along the sides of the slide texture. All the original markings are present, with the addition of the Novak's logo on the slide opposite the Rampant Colt. Fitted with a pair of fancy checkered Poulin deluxe grips with Rampant Colt Medallions. Two full-blue magazines configured for the 1911 catch are included, as well as a copy of the invoice detailing Novak's work and a photocopy of an Guns Magazine article on modern 1903 pistol customization.
