This rifle replaced the Model 1903 in 1933 and is considered by many to be the best semi-automatic rimfire rifle ever produced. Manufactured in 1950, this example has a dovetail blade front and elevation adjustable sporting rear sights, and is mounted on a select multipoint checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with tubular magazine and smooth steel buttplate. The left side of the barrel has the Winchester trade mark information and "MODEL 63 .22 LONG RIFLE/SUPER SPEED AND SUPER X" and standard "WP" proofs on top of the receiver and barrel.
