Built on a Ruger No. 1 action with added false side plates to maximize the engraving area as noted in the article. This Eric Boessler master engraved and gold inlaid custom rifle features a tapered octagonal barrel with a ramped blade front and fixed rear notch sights. The left flat is marked with standard German commercial proofs and "FR. WILH. HEYM" just forward of the breech. The quarter rib is mounted with engraved and gold inlaid scope rings with a Zeiss DIAVARI-ZA1.5-6x42 scope. The set trigger action has been beautifully game scene engraved with deer on the left face and pronghorn antelope on the right. The animal scenes include highly detailed forest backgrounds. All animals are depicted in a high relief gold inlay. With gold inlaid wire borders and the remainder of the action including the lever and tangs filled with a tight highly detailed vine scroll with sunburst engraved screws. Mounted on a full length Mannlicher style stock with a pewter forend cap, fine multi-point checkering at the forearm and pistol grip, sling swivel studs, "JSA" inscription panel on forearm, engraved skeleton grip cap and a fully engraved skeleton buttplate on a checkered naked butt. The article notes that the rifle was on display at the St. Louis Shot Show and that Peter Bang of Heym noted that he could have sold the rifle for twice what he quoted Amber multiple times to various interested attendees.
