Attractive Second Generation Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Factory Black Box

This revolver was manufactured in 1957 and has the standard markings and features aside from the smooth grips. According to the production data discussed in Wilkerson's The Post-War Colt Single Action Revolver, 1955-1975, 2,881 Second Generation SAAs were produced in this configuration. The revolver comes in a matching numbered factory black box with original papers including a manual and a bore brush. Also in the box is a January 11, 2002, dated note written on an "ART GARRY GUNSMITH" headed receipt indicating this revolver and the grips were purchased through Badger Shooters Supply of Owen, Wisconsin, in 1957. The note states that the owner fitted the grips himself and had been a gunsmith since 1952.

ConditionNear new in box with non-factory replacement grips. The revolver has only minor handling and storage marks and some light cylinder drag lines. The box is fine and has some edge and corner wear, tape repairs, and a distinct serial number.
