The standard three-line address and patent information is marked on the left side of the action, and the serial number is marked on the bottom at the front.

Rating Definition:

Fair. The barrel displays a gray-brown mixture of faded blue finish and a forming brown patina. The action has a yellow oil stained tint over a mottled gray patina. The buttplate retains much of the period nickel plating. The forearm is fair with crisp checkering, slivers absent, and a larger fill/repaired section on the bottom. The buttstock is very good with crisp checkering, dings and scratches, and a few chips. The action is fine.
