(in an upward arch)", there is part of the letter "N" visible at the breech end of the barrel above the touch hole and the left rear of the barrel is marked "P/US". Brass blade front sight on the barrel band, brass flash pan without a fence and the remaining mountings are iron. The stock extends about 1/2 inch ahead of the barrel band and the iron back strap extends from the barrel to the buttcap. There are no visible cartouches or inspection markings on the stock. Complete with an original hickory ramrod with a swelled tip and slotted metal on the opposite end for cleaning.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The metal surfaces have a mottled gray and brown patina with some minor pitting on the breech end of the barrel and on the hammer. The otherwise good stock and ramrod has been period refinished and the stock shows a repaired crack on the right side by the trigger and a small pieced in repair at the right of the lock. Otherwise there are a few minor dings and handling marks. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is fine.
