This early 19th century pair of flintlock pistols have unknown markings on the locks and barrels and also have English style "crown/V" proofs on the upper left barrel flats. They were likely produced for the Middle Eastern trade and may have been ornamented in the Ottoman Empire. There are floral engraving patterns throughout, and the cannon style barrels have "wedding bands." The side plates have bestial heads at the front and rear. The locks have several late flintlock era features, including a waterproof style pans and frizzens and rollers on the frizzen springs. The stocks have nearly full coverage floral scroll carving in relief and also have ornate thumb plates with crown accents. The steel ramrods are flared at the ends (more so on gun B).
