Damascus barrels with a single bead sight on the solid rib which is marked in gold inlay "F. LUDYKAR/IN WITTINGAU" at the breech. There is also a gold inlaid wire band around the breech end of the barrels. The hammers, trigger guard, trigger guard plate, breech plug and uniquely shape locks are engraved with a floral vine design. In addition there are gold inlaid highlights on the hammers and breech plug. The rear of the locks have game animal scenes and are marked "LUDYKAR". The upper tang has a gold inlaid initials "J.H" with a gold inlaid wire border. The trigger guard has a game bird scene. There is a horn grip extension mounted behind the trigger guard. Ebony ramrod with a silver tip secured by two pipes, with a sling swivel mounted on the rear pipe. The shotgun is mounted with a wedge secured straight grip half stock with relief carved floral vine on the wrist. There is a sling stud on the stock, and it has a smooth iron buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/8 inches.

Very good. Half of the Damascus pattern shows through a smooth silver gray patina. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth dark gray patina. Almost all of the gold inlay remains (a small amount absent from the barrel marking). The lightly worn stock is also very good with some age cracking on the right side of the buttstock and overall a few minor dings and dents. The action is excellent.
