Description:

Stamped by Luftwaffe "LBA-40", with a date of 1940, the time of the Battle of Britain. 1) Luftwaffe tunic, size-marked "43 44/94/70 64" on the left inside pocket, with a set of concealed front buttons, yellow trimmed shoulder boards and collar tabs for an Oberleutnant, a silver bullion eagle patch on the right breast, and the Pilot-Observer Badge patch on the left. 2) Officers cap, size 58 with no makers marks, dark blue/gray fabric construction with a line of silver wire piping around the flap, white and gray Luftwaffe eagle patch, and a flat "bevo" style cockade on the front. The interior is lined with gray twill.

Rating Definition:

1) Fine, totally original with some stains and absent pocket buttons. The pipe is absent from the left shoulder board, and the waffenfarbe shows some wear and tear. 2) Very fine, totally original with a few mild stains.
