Fitted with a standard fixed blade sight, and an adjustable rear ladder with the large, dished 9/16 inch windage knob and 2,850 yard volley notch at the top of the ladder. The receiver is a dark oil quenched casehardened finish with standard markings on the front ring, a fully blued bolt, and casehardened cocking knob, magazine cutoff, and safety. Mounted on a later production replacement straight grain "S" type stock with two reinforcing bolts, and sling swivels. The stock is unmarked except for a small "17" just behind the trigger guard indicating it may have been a field replacement.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 80% of the original finish on the receiver and barrel. Showing areas of some mild high point and edge wear, general handling marks, and clear markings. The arsenal replacement stock is very fine with some scattered light indentations and handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
