Description:

This is an excellent carbine example of the ever popular Winchester Model 1894 and was manufactured in 1917 with a pinned blade front sight, notch and folding ladder rear sight, saddle ring and stud with leather thong, smooth forearm and stock, and standard markings. Model 1894 carbines were very popular throughout the U.S. and even in many parts of the world. In the West, they were easy to use and carry while riding on horseback, and in the East, they were easy to maneuver in the woods.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall. It appears basically unused. 97% plus of the original blue finish remains. There is some scattered slight flaking visible on the left side of the action, some minor scratches and dings throughout from handling and storage, and a deeper scratch on the right side of the otherwise excellent buttstock. Mechanically excellent. Most standard grade, pre-war Winchesters saw hard use making excellent examples like this very rare.
