Pre-War Walther 1936 Olympia Rapid Fire Model Semi-Automatic Target Pistol with Barrel Weights

The Walther Olympia is considered, in terms of design, accuracy, and finish, to be one of the finest target automatic pistols ever produced. The underside of the frame is drilled and fitted with counterweights. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and the front sight is adjustable for elevation. The barrel and slide feature standard pre-war German crown proofs on the left side. The full serial number is located on the left side of the receiver spur and a partial serial number "888" is found on the inside of the duralumin slide. The right side of the slide is marked "CAL.22 kurz". The opposite side of the slide is marked with the Walther Banner followed by the factory legend in two lines and the designation "OLYMPIA-PISTOLE". Fitted with a set of checkered wrap "funkampf"-style flared grips. The magazine has a wooden extension, both the magazine extension and grips are marked with the partial serial number "888".

ConditionVery fine as partially refinished (slide and weights re-anodized) with the balance retaining 85% of the original blue finish. Displaying some areas of general handling marks, mild high point and edge wear, and some scattered surface scratches. The slide markings are legible though slightly light in places. The grips are fine with well-defined checkering, general handling marks, and some light finish loss. Mechanically excellent.
