Unwin & Rodgers Twin Blade Cartridge Knife Pistol

German silver barrel marked with a pair of crossed scepter proofs on the upper left flat, "UNWIN & RODGERS/PATENTEES,SHEFFIELD" on the left and "NON*XLL" on the right. The knife blades (spear point and clip point) are both 3 3/4 inches long (10 1/4 inch overall length) and are marked "V(crown)R/UNWIN&/RODGERS/PATENT" on the left ricasso. Fitted with checkered horn grips with German silver furniture and a patch box at the rear. Includes a hardwood display case with a wine colored flannel interior.

ConditionFair with a darker aged patina to the German silver barrel and fittings. Showing clear markings on the barrels, small dings and light pitting at the breech. The hammer and folding trigger show a primarily dark aged patina. The knife blades have an aged dark patina with cleaned moderate pitting throughout, clear markings on the ricassos and sharpening wear on the edges. The grip scales are good with small scratches, small dings and well defined checkering. Mechanically good the extractor fits loosely and may need to be tightened. Case is excellent with some light handling marks.
