This classically style Schuetzen rifle features a ramped pinhead front sight with wings, and a fully adjustable rear notch sight mounted on a dovetailed section of the top barrel flat marked "CARL BACKMUND, MUNCHEN" in silver inlay, just forward of the floral engraved and silver inlaid breech. The action features classic German shooting themed engraving with a man on either side carrying both a rifle and a large mug of beer. The scenes are surrounded by broad leaf scroll engraving with textured punch dot backgrounds. This style of engraving is continued on the upper tang, and two spur action lever. The lever also features a small scene of a man in classic German hunting attire. The action features a hand removable trigger plate with double set triggers and an adjustable large diopter rear peep sight mounted on the tang with multiple selectable apertures via a wheel. Mounted on a foliate carved forearm and straight grip stock with a raised thumb rest, checkered wrist, foliate relief carving, and a single hook engraved schuetzen style buttplate.
