The included factory letter states that this rifle was manufactured in "approximately 1935". This beautifully engraved rifle features a ramped white beaded blade front and a five leaf (four folding, one standing) rear express sight. The top of the barrel is marked "WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co. LONDON", and the right side is marked "W.R. PATENT DETACHABLE BARREL 1989". The breech end of the barrel features a thing gold wire inlaid band. The receiver is marked "WESTLEY RICHARDS/318 ACCELERATED EXPRESS" and features flourishes of delicate floral scroll engraving. The floorplate is engraved with an African savanna scene with a detailed gold inlaid leopard resting in a tree. The bolt is polished bright with a contoured horn handle tip. Mounted on a straight grain pistol grip buttstock with a hard rubber grip cap and vented rubber recoil pad. The separate checkered forearm features a horn tip, and knurled takedown lever.
