This rifle is marked "KURT JAEGER MAINZ" in script on the barrel ahead of the rear sight, "MADE IN BELGIUM" on the right side just ahead of the rear sight, "CHROM VANADIUM STEEL" on the left, and has Belgian proofs and "CAL. 270" on the left at the breech. The matching serial number is on the right side of the barrel and action at the breech. The quick detach scope mount is marked "PAUL JAEGER-JENKINTOWN, PA." and is fitted with a West German Zeiss Diavari-C 3-9x36 scope. The barrel also has a hooded front sight with ramp and bead and a raised notch rear sight with folding leaf. The rear 1/4 of the barrel, nearly all of the action and remaining components have oak leaf engraving with punch dot backgrounds and gold inlaid borders. The floor plate also has a gold inlaid stag in a forest scene. The engraving patterns match other guns known to have been engraved by master engraver Claus Willig who often worked with Paul Jaeger Inc. The bolt is jeweled. The stock has checkering on the forend and grip with scroll borders, carved designs on the sides above the floor plate, contrasting grip and forend caps, a raised comb and cheekpiece, and a carved scene with trees, mountains, and contrasting stag.
