The barrel is dated "1-44". Fitted with a fixed blade front and fully adjustable milled rear peep sight. The carbine features a low wood two rivet handguard, type 3 barrel band with integral bayonet lug, toggle style safety, and an "M" marked magazine release. The modern reproduction wire stock is fitted with a standard leather cheekpiece and cast buttplate. Includes a "U.S." marked canvas double magazine pouch and a green canvas web sling. The magazine is absent.
