The barrel is dated "1-44". Fitted with a fixed blade front and fully adjustable milled rear peep sight. The carbine features a low wood two rivet handguard, type 3 barrel band with integral bayonet lug, toggle style safety, and an "M" marked magazine release. The modern reproduction wire stock is fitted with a standard leather cheekpiece and cast buttplate. Includes a "U.S." marked canvas double magazine pouch and a green canvas web sling. The magazine is absent.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished (gun) with 95% plus dark green parkerized finish. Displaying some light cycling marks on the bolt, light handling marks, and a few light surface scratches. The modern reproduction wood is near mint with general handling marks. The stock itself has been braised together just rear of the hinges on the top and bottom and the cheekpiece. Mechanically excellent.
