The 22/32 Kit gun was introduced in 1935 with a pilot production run ending close to serial number 527700. The included factory letter states that this particular revolver serial number "529500" was the first revolver of the full production run. Fitted with a pinned Patridge blade front and fully adjustable rear notch sights, checkered hammer, serrated trigger and a set of checkered extension grips with inset silver S&W medallions. The letter further states that the revolver was shipped from S&W on March 6, 1936 to Sterchi Music Company, of Terre Haute, Indiana and confirms the sight configuration, finish and grips.
