The letter goes on to confirm the caliber, serial number, finish, and barrel length. Fitted with a forged round blade front and frame notch rear sights, checkered casehardened hammer and a serrated trigger. The grips are mother of pearl with lightly engraved floral scroll designs. The letter states the revolver was shipped with checkered walnut grips. Includes a period correct blue Smith & Wesson box.

Rating Definition:

Very good as refinished with 95% of the blue finish. A large part of the frame has a plum cast to the color. Displaying evidence of light buffing and polishing marks, slight edge wear and general handling marks. The grips are very good with some small corner chips and inclusions. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair with corner and edge wear and general scuffs throughout.
