Five Vintage Portraits of Armed American Men

1) Cased tintype of a seated American soldier in uniform with light gold and blush accents and a holstered revolver on his belt. It is set in a birdbath-themed gutta percha case (3 5/8 x 4 3/4 inches). 2) Cased tintype of a seated man with a Remington Model 1861 Army percussion revolver, light gold and blush accents, and the craziest set of eyes yet seen at this institution. This photograph is pictured on page 34 of "Remington: America's Oldest Gunmaker" by Roy Marcot and is in a floral themed gutta percha case (3 1/2 x 4 inches). 3) Three loose carte-de-visite style portraits of American military men, each with a sword and a Remington revolver either in-hand or tucked in their belts. Consignor states these are from the Jay Huber collection.

Condition1) Fine. The image shows some light flaking and scuffs, and the case has a few dings and cracks. 2) The image is very good with a tiny dark spot in the upper left corner and very sharp details, and the case is fair with some mild cracks. 3) Fair with two out of three faded and worn and the third yellowed but sharp.
