The rear of the cylinder is marked with a Liege proofmark, and the front cylinder face has the N. Gilon maker's marking and "SC" agent marking. The cylinder has an engraved bird scene. The smooth bore barrel is marked "COLT/BREVETE" on the top flat and a "crown/V" proof on the left barrel lug. Blue barrel and cylinder, casehardened loading lever, frame and hammer and silver plated brass grip straps. Matching numbers are found on the barrel, frame and trigger guard. Note that the second "1" to the serial number on the barrel and trigger guard has been struck over a "0." Fitted with a varnished, nicely figured one-piece walnut grip.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 70% plus bright original blue finish with the balance a mottled brown-gray patina and showing light spotting and a number of minor scratches on the barrel. Most of the cylinder scene remains. The hammer, frame and loading lever retain 90% original case colors. The grip straps retain 95% original silver plating. The butt has "ICA" in vinyl letters. The grip is also fine showing some minor pressure dents and scratches and retaining most of the finish. Mechanically excellent.
