World War II 1942 Production U.S. Inland M1 Semi-Automatic Carbine with M-3 Knife, Belt Rig, and Accessories

Inland barrel is dated "12-42" with the narrow type 1 barrel band, fixed blade front and two-leaf flip up rear sights, standard markings on the receiver heel, early checkered push button safety, and an unmarked, smooth magazine catch. Correct early high wood stock with two-rivet handguard, "I" cut oiler slot, "I/flaming bomb" stamps in the sling recess, circled "P" stamp on the bottom of the grip, and the Ordnance Department crossed cannons on the right side of the butt with a stamped checkered buttplate. With a correct "II" marked Inland magazine. Includes a canvas web belt with "U.S." marked canteen, sealed Carlisle Model first aid packet, U.S. M3 fighting knife with sheath, and two double magazine pouches with two magazines each. Also included is "A Collector's Field Guide to U.S. Military Arms: Collecting The M1 Carbine III" by J.C. Harris.

ConditionFine. 50% original dark parkerized finish remains with areas of high point and edge wear, scattered small scratches, handling marks overall, and clear markings. The stock and handguard set are also fine with clear marks and small dings and dents throughout. Mechanically excellent. The web belt and attached accessories are fine overall with handling marks. A fine representative, original example an Inland M1 Carbine with desirable early features.
