Outstanding Smith & Wesson No. 3 Second Model American Single Action Revolver

Manufactured from 1872-1874. The barrel rib has the one-line address/patent dates marking, provisions for a lanyard ring (filler screw) are present on the butt, the right grip panel is numbered to a different gun (13286), and the matching assembly number is found on the grip frame under the grips, cylinder, barrel, and barrel latch. The hammer and trigger guard are casehardened, and the remaining surfaces are blue.

ConditionExcellent. The revolver retains 95% original polished blue finish mixed with some scattered patches of smooth brown patina. Some original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger guard. The grips are also excellent showing minimal handling evidence. Mechanically excellent.
