Blade front and "ski ramp" tangent rear sights, with a "S" marked barrel and the 1916 date below the DWM Berlin address on top of the receiver as well as appropriate imperial German military proofs and matching full and partial numbers on many components, including the bolt, trigger guard screws, and stock. The stock is fitted with an unmarked disc on the right side next to a line of Imperial proofs, with a brown leather sling and a steel buttplate stamped "M (lazy 4)". Also includes a brown pigskin cartridge pouch dated "1916" on the back of the central compartment.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus, with 50% of the faded original blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina on the barrel bands, receiver, bolt and other locations, as well as mild spotting and handling marks overall. The stock is also very good, with a number of dents and scuffs, and the sling is broken at the lower swivel. The pouch has a hole in the sides of the outer compartments, and otherwise is good overall with minor cracks and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
