The included factory letter states that this particular revolver was manufactured as an experimental model that was kept by the Colt factory until it was sold in 2008. Ramped Patridge blade front and adjustable square notch rear sights, standard markings on the barrel, serrated trigger and hammer spur, and smooth grip straps. Fitted with checkered grips with silver Colt medallions. The barrel is the standard polished Colt blue, while the frame is left in a duller unpolished blue, and the cylinder crane left in the white. With original box with Custom Shop label (also confirmed in letter).

Fine as roughly semi-finished as an experimental. 85% original unpolished and matte blue finish remains with areas of some light spotting and edge wear. Grips are good with a chip absent the top of the back strap on the left panel, sharp checkering, and dings throughout. Mechanically very good. Box is good with corner and edge wear.
