The rib is signed "WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co. 23 CONDUIT ST. LONDON. W." ahead of the rear sight, and the top of the right barrel is marked "FOR WR .318 RIMLESS CARTRIDGE" near the breech. The left barrel is marked "IMPORTED BY J.SHANNON - SPANAWAY-WA." There is floral scroll engraving on the ramp faces and on the doll's head extension. The bottom of both barrels are numbered to the gun and are struck with various British nitro proofs on the barrel flats. The treble-grip action is casehardened, features fine floral scroll engraving, is marked "WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co" on both sides, and has a blued hinged floor plate. The engraving pattern extends to the trigger guard, top lever and forend hardware. There is a sling eye mounted on the underside of the barrels. With automatic safety with gold inlaid "SAFE" and blued safety bolt with gold-inlaid "BOLTED." Double triggers, scroll engraved pistol grip cap with hinged trap cover. Well-figured 14 1/4 inch pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece, dark horn buttplate, vacant silver escutcheon, and checkered grip and forend. The latter has a dark horn tip. Weight: 9 lbs. 5.8 oz. It comes with a canvas covered hard takedown case with brass and leather corner protectors, leather straps and light green lining. The lid is stenciled "W. PANNI./KARATIA." on top and "NO. 322 DOUBLE 318." on the front edge. Karatia is in Bangladesh, and writer found no information on W. Panni.
