London, England." on top of the barrel ahead of the rear sight, gold inlaid "6953" on the left side of the front receiver ring and marked "RIGBY'S/SPECIAL/416 BORE/FOR/ BIG GAME" on top of the receiver ring. There is light floral engraving on each side of the receiver ring. The right rear of the barrel is marked with a nitro proof and "416" RIGBY LP/97". The left side receiver wall is marked "J.RIGBY & CO LONDON ENGLAND". The receiver is equipped with a Swarovski 1.25-4x24 scope. The floor plate is satin grey and engraved with floral scroll designs surrounding a lions head in an oval in the center with a gold inlaid rope pattern around the oval and is signed "B BURGESS" directly ahead of the trigger guard. The trigger guard is gold inlaid inscribed "R/F/D/2". Serrated trigger, jeweled follower, extractor and bolt, and mounted with a one piece extra fancy multi-point checkered walnut stock with contrasting forend, engraved and gold inlaid wire border and Rigby logo grip cap, cheek piece, solid Decelerator recoil pad, sling swivel base (one mounted on barrel also) and gold initial oval. Weighs a little more than 12 1/2 pounds.
