The barrel rib is marked "CHARLES LANCASTER 11 PANTON St. HAYMARKET LONDON 2 PIECE EJECTOR" with standard proofs on the flats. There is a small importer mark on the underside of the barrel rib at the muzzle. The receiver and lock plates feature full coverage fine scroll engraving with decorative borders and maker's marks. With a single non-selective trigger, "SINGLE TRIGGER/PATENT" marked trigger plate, and automatic sliding tang safety. Checkered forearm with engraved fittings, and pistol grip stock with blank initial oval and checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .742/.738 inch; minimum wall thickness .024/.026 inch; drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches.

Fine. The professionally refinished barrels have 98% of the polished deep blue finish with some light edge wear, slightly light markings, and some traces of light pitting under the forearm. The receiver and locks have an overall bright patina with well-defined engraving and markings and mild handling marks overall. The wood is also fine with well-defined checkering, small bruises and dings, and some small chips around the lower tang. Mechanically very good.
