The factory letter lists this revolver with a 6 1/2 inch barrel, Patridge front sight, low spur hammer, blue finish, and checkered walnut grips when shipped on June 8, 1951, to John Amber, editor of Gun Digest, Chicago, Illinois. A factory rework star is on the butt, and return date of "1 52" (January 1952) and factory refinish "B diamond" marking are on the grip frame. The target hammer and trigger were likely added when it was returned to the factory. Right grip panel numbered to different gun. Matching numbers on the butt, cylinder, and ejector shroud. Comes with a Model of 1926 .44 Target revolver gold box.
