This revolver is consecutively numbered with the previous two lots. All three were manufactured in 1968 and are in the same basic configuration and have "A," "B," or "C" respectively by a buffalo on the front of the frame indicating Master Engraver Bill Mains completed the work on the set. He worked on contract for Colt from 1967 to 1972 out of his home in Buffalo, New York. The patterns themselves are all the same scrollwork style, but the amount of engraving increases with each serial number making a very interesting set if all three are acquired. The markings are standard. The grips are numbered to the gun.
